Hey Y'all,

         I was born and raised in Austin, Texas where everyone rides horses to school, says y'all a lot and loves to honky-tonk. Kind of like how all Australian's have pet kangaroos, crack Kookaburra jokes and love their meat pies. Ah, the stories we hear.

 

When I was a young nipper I grew up next to the neighborhood pool where you'd find me day and night. I loved the water so much that when I was old enough I became a lifeguard, swim instructor and springboard dive instructor. 17 years later, I still have the pleasure of sharing my love of water by teaching children how to swim. Water to me is life and spending time with kids is the simplest way to happiness. Eventually, I found myself entertaining children through songs, games and stories. I now have a growing collection of children's stories, with "Finding Swell" being my first published book.

 

Years ago, I decided to visit my roots in Hawaii. Here I discovered the bliss of surfing. My plan was to travel to all the best surfing destinations in the world. So far... I have made it to one. Australia! I landed on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia in 2017 and surfed myself into love. Literally, I met the love of my life and we are raising our two boys and baby girl here in Australia and loving it. Looks like there is more than one way to find happiness :)
